BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 12. A meeting of the Turkmen-Uzbek working group on transport issues was held in Uzbekistan, Trend reports via the Uzbek Ministry of Transport.
During the meeting, the parties expressed interest in fully resuming the process of cargo transportation by road between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek side proposed to intensify work on the organization of passenger transportation between the two countries and made proposals to simplify the requirements and reduce the time for issuing entry visas to Turkmenistan for drivers from Uzbekistan engaged in international cargo transportation by road.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify work within the framework of the Ashgabat Agreement with all participants of the Uzbekistan–Turkmenistan–Iran–Oman transport corridor.
