TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 11. Turkish Albayrak Holding, specializing in the fields of transport and logistics, mechanical engineering, and infrastructure construction, and Uzbekistan have discussed the prospects of new joint projects, Trend reports.
The news followed a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov and the Coordinator of Albayrak, Erdal Nalbant.
During the talks, the parties considered the prospects for the intensification of bilateral relations and further development of cooperation, bearing in mind the implementation of new projects in the fields of digitalization, infrastructure development, and mechanical engineering.
In particular, the progress of ongoing work within the framework of the project of the installation of automated photo and video devices for detecting traffic violations in the cities of Uzbekistan was reviewed.
The parties stressed the need to take effective measures for the timely commissioning of the system.
During the constructive exchange of views, practical measures were developed to accelerate the implementation of ongoing projects and deadlines were set for the start of work on new agreements.
Meanwhile, companies have invested a total of 139.1 trillion Uzbek soums ($11.4 billion) in Uzbekistan in the first six months of 2023.
A significant share of these investments, 59 trillion soums ($4.8 billion), or 42.4 percent, account for foreign investment and loans directed to fixed capital.
