Iran to attend Int'l Kabaddi Technical Officials' course in Pakistan

(IRNA) - Iran will participate in the International Kabaddi Technical Officials' Course due to open in Islamabad today, reports Trend.

Asian countries that are participating include Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Iran.

A total of 16 international technical officials from Asian countries and 22 technical officials from Pakistan will attend the course. The course ends on November 10.

Delegates from participating countries have already arrived in Islamabad. The Pakistan Kabaddi Federation is organizing the course as instructed by the Asian Kabaddi Federation.

Three lady technical officials from Iran, Sri Lanka and Nepal are among the participants.

Muhammad Sarwar, secretary-general of the Asian Kabaddi Federation and Veravat Phomaphoti, chairman of the Referee Board of the Asian Kabaddi Federation, will conduct the course.

Qualified officials of the course will conduct the forthcoming 15th Asian Games Doha 2006.

Ten countries will be competing for top honors in the 15th Asian Games.
