Four development projects on non-benzene hexane production, vacuum distillation, production growth and quality improvement will be implemented at the Kermanshah Oil Refinery in Iran’s Kermanshah Province, CEO of Kermanshah Oil Refining Company Farhad Kaviani told journalists, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
According to him, $320 million will be invested in the projects.
Kaviani said that the units created within the framework of these projects will be commissioned within the next 3 years the latest, and added that this will help provide 100 people with jobs.
"The company refinery receives 23,000 barrels of crude oil daily, and it has a refining capacity of 25,000 barrels," he said.
It was also noted that the implementation of the projects will help increase the refining capacity from 25,000 barrels to 40,000 barrels.
Furthermore, Kaviani noted that liquid gas, gasoline, white oil and diesel are among the main products produced at the refinery.
"The refinery produces 100,000 cubic meters of liquefied gas, 4,000 barrels of gasoline, 4,000 barrels of white oil and 4,000 barrels of diesel per day," he said.
Kaviani added that the refinery now produces Euro 2 gasoline. With the commissioning of the quality improvement unit, the refinery will produce gasoline in accordance with Euro 4 and Euro 5 standards.
Noting that 12 special products are produced at the company's refinery, Kaviani also said that 13 trillion rials (app. $309 million) worth of products were sold last Iranian year (March 21, 2018 - March 21, 2019).
