Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marzie Afkham harshly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Iraq.
"The ominous terrorism phenomenon in Iraq and the entire region is the result of previous wrong policies of some world powers," Iran's IRNA news agency quoted Afkham as saying on October 12.
She further slammed certain powers for the continuous use of terrorism as a tool to achieve certain goals in the region.
Afkham also expressed hope that the Iraqi nation and the country's government will manage to defeat terrorism by unity and using national capacities.
A series of bomb attacks across Iraq left dozens of people dead on October 11.
