Georgian President awards deputy economy minister and Adjaran government head for sailors' release

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili awarded Deputy Economy Minister Giorgi Karbelashvili with Order of St. George for the release of Georgian sailors captured by Somali pirates.
The order was awarded in absentia due to Karbelashvili's severe health. Karbelashvili was placed in the intensive care unit at the Republican Hospital.
However, the President's Order was also delivered to the chairman of the government of Autonomous Republic of Adjara Levan Varshalomidze.
The Order of Honor was delivered to the captain of Georgian sailors Memed Zakaradze.
The concert was organized in Batumi in honor of the released Georgian sailors.
