( dpa ) - A 29-year-old who repeatedly raped his live-in fiancee's daughter was sentenced to 26 years in prison and caned the maximum 24 strokes, news reports said Saturday.
The vegetable packer was caught after he used his camera-phone to record himself molesting the girl.
She was first raped in 2006 at age 9, the High Court heard Friday. She is now 11 and a Primary 6 pupil.
The man raped her four more times between May 2006 and July 2007, The Straits Times said.
The man snucked into the girl's room in August while birthday celebrations for his fiancee were going on in the corridor outside. He started to molest the youngster, using his camera-phone to record himself in the act, when the mother unexpectedly walked in, the court was told.
The mother checked the phone, found the video clip and made a police report.
