( dpa ) - Two men were arrested after an explosion and a fire at a pizzeria in the small Danish town of Bramming early Friday killed a woman and injured two people.

Police spoke of a "criminal background" and confirmed the arrests of two men aged 20 and 21 years on suspicion of arson resulting in death.

One of the men had been buried under a collapsing wall and had to be rescued by residents who rushed to the scene. Police did not outline possible motives for the suspected attack.

The 29-year-old woman who died in the blast lived in an apartment above the pizzeria in central Bramming, which lies east of the North Sea city of Esbjerg.

Reports said she had probably died of smoke poisoning. The force of the blast caused several windows in businesses in the nearby pedestrian zone to shatter.
