Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Sunday called off a four-day visit to Hong Kong as he continued with his deliberations with political leaders over the fallout of Wednesday's Mumbai attacks, an official said, dpa reported.

Gilani was scheduled to leave for the Asia meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative, which is starting on Tuesday.

The prime minister cancelled his trip in wake of the situation emerging from the terrorist strikes in Mumbai, his press secretary, Zahid Bashir, said.

The Mumbai massacre, which killed at least 183 people, has triggered tension between the two South Asian arch-rivals, with India suspecting the Pakistani-based Lashkar-e-Toiba group of carrying out the attacks. India and Pakistan have fought three wars in their 61 years of existence.
