Armored ambulances will be used in Turkey, as the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) has become more active in several provinces of the country, Health Minister Mehmet Muezzinoglu said.
He said that the PKK attacks on ambulances, military units and police stations have become more frequent in recent times, Anadolu agency reported Dec.24.

amb between Turkey and the PKK, which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state, has continued for over 25 years and has claimed more than 40,000 lives.
The UN and the European Union listed the PKK as a terrorist organization.
