Ankara hopes that Washington will sooner or later realize the mistake of its policy towards Turkey, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said before leaving for Azerbaijan, the Turkish media reported March 14.
Yildirim said that unfortunately, despite all the warnings of Turkey, the Syrian policy of the United States led to new problems in Syria.
Ankara expects that the US will correct its mistakes in policy towards Syria, the prime minister noted.
Touching upon the Operation Olive Branch, Yildirim noted that this operation was necessary and no country has the right to accuse Turkey of violating international law.
The Turkish General Staff announced about complete surrender of Afrin by the Turkish Armed Forces and Free Syrian Army on March 13.
On Jan. 20, the Turkish Armed Forces, together with the Free Syrian Army, launched the Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, Syria.
