Turkey's jewelry exports down

In January-August 2019, Turkey's jewelry exports decreased by 3 percent, compared to the same period in 2018, and amounted to $2.432 billion, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Exporters Assembly.

Jewelry exports during the reported period accounted for 2.5 percent of Turkey's total exports.

In August 2019, Turkish jewelry exports also decreased by 36.8 percent compared to August 2018, having amounted to $566.132 million, which is 4.3 percent of total Turkish exports in August 2019, according to the TIM.

The assembly noted that over the past 12 months (August 2018 - August 2019), jewelry exports increased by 13.1 percent compared to the previous figures and amounted to $4.318 billion.
