Carpet exports from Turkey to Kyrgyzstan decreased by 6.37 percent in the first 9 months of 2020 compared to the same period in 2019, and made up over $3.3 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
In September 2020, Turkey exported carpets worth $573,850 to Kyrgyzstan, which is 26.7 percent less than in the same month of 2019.
Turkey’s export of carpets to world markets for the reporting period amounted to 1.6 percent of the country’s total export for the same period of this year.
"In September 2020, Turkey’s export of carpets to world markets exceeded $270.5 million, which is 17.6 percent more compared to September 2019," the ministry said.
Turkey’s export of carpets to world markets in September this year amounted to 1.8 percent of the country’s total export.
During the last twelve months (from September 2019 through September 2020), Turkey exported carpets worth over $2.5 billion.
