Another plane has made an emergency landing in Turkey today. In this case, the reason was a hoax call about a bomb on board the aircraft, CNN Turk TV channel reported today.

According to the TV channel, dispatchers at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul were informed that an explosive device was placed in an Atlas jet plane flying from Istanbul to Van. As a result, after a few minutes the plane made an emergency landing.

The TV channel reported that the plane had some technical problems.

Earlier today, a Turkish Airlines plane flying from Istanbul to Milan made an emergency landing due to a lightning strike.

When the aircraft was in the air, the pilot told dispatchers that lightning hit the plane forcing it to make an emergency landing at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul. The plane was badly damaged.

Previously on November 25, a Turkish Airlines plane flying from Istanbul to London made an emergency landing. The cause was a smell of burning. All passengers were evacuated and the flight was cancelled.
