Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Тrend S. Ilhamgizi / The Azerbaijani Great Nation Party plans to hold a rally march jointly with other political parties in the central streets of Baku on 10 November to demonstrate their support to Turkey in its struggle against terrorists of the Kurdish Worker Party (KWP), Samir Adigezalli the Chairman of the party said on 24 October.
According to Adigezalli, negotiations with political parties of the country have been launched for organizing the joint action. The Turkish Nationalist Party Umud, the National Democratic Party, the Citizens Solidarity Party, and others agreed to join.
"We want to march widely in one of the parks in the centre of Baku with participation of other political parties. If parties do not support us, the party will independently hold the action," Adigezalli said.
In a letter to be addressed to the Baku Executive Power, the organizers propose the National Seaside Park of Baku - Sahil and other locations to demonstrate. Azerbaijani and Turkish flags will be raised during the rally.
The protestors will demonstrate their support to Turkey in the struggle against terrorism, condemn Armenian policy directed against Azerbaijan and Turkey, and criticize the actions of US congressmen who recognized the so-called 'Armenian Genocide'.
According to Adigezalli, unless the Executive Power of Baku sanctions the rally, the party will try to hold the action. The Great Nation Party considers that it necessary to support Turkey on 10 November which is Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's day of memory.
