Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend I.Alizade, Y.Aliyev / A polling station has been organized in the Embassy of Georgia in Azerbaijan with regards to the Presidential elections in Georgia on 5 January. The Chair of the Election Commission in Baku, Tamara Goshadze, reported to Trend on 5 January that some 722 Georgian citizens have been officially registered in the only polling station in Azerbaijan.
According to Goshadze, more than 100 citizens have participated in the voting in the first half of the day. She added that the Georgian Azerbaijanis participate more actively than Georgians in the voting in the Embassy.
The Georgian citizens who have not been named in the list of voters may join the voting process with the document confirming their personality, Goshadze said.
