Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 November / Trend corr. A.Huseynbala/ The head of the public forum For Azerbaijan believes the Azerbaijani opposition cooperation centre which is being currently established may be named Azadlig.

"However, first an action plan must be developed for more extended cooperation of the opposition," Eldar Namazov, head of the public forum For Azerbaijan, which is included in the opposition cooperation centre, said to Trend on 10 November.

Centre for Opposition Cooperation includes bloc Azadlig (Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Liberal Party, Citizens and Development Party), Musavat Party and For Azerbaijan public forum. At early September, Azadlig bloc, Musavat Party and the Public Forum 'For Azerbaijan' signed a joint statement on recognition of the presidential elections to be held on 15 October as illegitimate. Government to be formed after the presidential elections was announced as illegitimate in the statement.

The election was followed by negotiations on changing the opposition into a broader coalition. However, creation of expanded opposition coalition has not been commenced in the light of mutual accusations. The leaders of the Liberal Party and the Popular Front Party, which are included in the opposition cooperation centre, suggested naming the new organization as Azadlig.

According to Namazov, there is no fundamental difference for him how the new cooperation centre will be named.

"If the opposition bloc is created in expanded format, bloc Azadlig must be definitely admitted. Then the new cooperation centre may be named Azadlig," he said.

Namazov will agree to any name suggested by the Azadlig bloc parties and the Musavat party.

"Continued talks over supposed return of the Musavat party to the bloc Azadlig harms the further allied relations," Arif Hajili, head of the Musavat party's central executive administration, said to Trend on 10 November.

Hajili recommended the heads of the political movements represented in the bloc Azadlig not to make such suggestions any more.

"It would be a non-constructive position to put Musavat's return to Azadlig on agenda," he said.
