Azerbaijan, Baku, May 1 / Trend V. Zhavoronkova /

Kazakhstan intends to suggest its vision of OSCE during its chairmanship in this organization in 2010, group of risks estimation director Dosim Satpayev (Kazakhstan) said.

"Kazakhstan intends to suggest its vision of this organization under support of several CIS countries," Satpayev told Trend over phone from Kazakhstan.

Decision of giving this opportunity for Kazakhstan to preside in OSCE caused rapid discussions.

Nobody expected that Kazakhstan will conduct democratic reforms necessary for chairmanship, expert said. But Central Asian country will preside in OSCE.

The reason of giving this opportunity for Kazakhstan is geopolitics, expert said. Many European countries try to establish relations with Central Asian countries in energy, he said.

"I think it was major reason - oil in exchange for OSCE chairman position," Satpayev said.

Kazakhstan states that special attention will be paid to security ensuring during chairmanship in OSCE but not democratic development, Satpayev said. It deals with problems concerning regional security, fight against terrorism and drug traffic.

"So, Kazakhstan constantly states that it does not intend to slave under OSCE requirements as the Republic has its own vision of this organization," Satpayev said.
