U.S. President Barack Obama has assured Georgian ambassador Batu Kutelia that America will continue to support Georgia. The president of the United States said during the ceremony of hand-over of credentials of the ambassador in Washington, Kutelia told reporters.
"U.S. President said he is interested in further development of democracy in Georgia and that Georgia must be model of democratic development in the region," he said.
Georgian Ambassador also said that a conversation with Obama also focused on security issues and the contribution made by Georgia in implementation of international security. "With regard to the security of Georgia, the U.S. president stressed that his country will help Georgia in this regard" Kutelia said.
