Committees of Azerbaijan parliament discuss draft on private information

The joint meeting of committees of the Parliament of Azerbaijan discussed the bill on private information.

"The new law will regulate the relations connected with the collection, development and protection of private information," the chairman of the committee on legal policy and state-building, MP Ali Huseynov, said at the meeting, the press service of the Parliament of Azerbaijan told Trend on June 9.

The MPs paid great attention to the protection of human rights during collection and use of personal information. According to the decision by the committees of Parliament, the bill was presented for the first reading at the Parliament of Azerbaijan. "The paper was submitted to the Parliament by the President of Azerbaijan as a legislative initiative," the press service said.

Proposals by MP Ali Huseynov on amendments to the law draft on freedom of religion were recommended for consideration at the Parliament of Azerbaijan.
