Failure to send SMS-messages in Iran on day of elections arouses suspicion: Head of Committee

The inability to send SMS message during the presidential elections in Iran arouses suspicion, Chairman of the Committee to preserve votes Ali Akbar Mohtashamipour said, ILNA reported.

According to Mohtashamipour, the committee was to obtain data on violations recorded in the polling stations through SMS-messages.

He added that the Communications Ministry has purposely caused problems in sending of SMS-messages. "A problem occurred in the system on June 11. The problem was removed. However, problem occurred in the system on June 11 at 23:00 again," he said.
