The losing presidential candidates Mir Hussein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi refused to participate in today's meeting of the Guardian Council, ILNA reported.
On June 18, the Guardian Council of Iran invited the presidential candidates to attend the meeting of the Council, which was scheduled for today. "The presidential candidates were invited to attend the meeting of the Guardian Council of Iran," said the representative of the Guardian Council of Iran Abbasali Kyadkhudai.
Guardian Council stated that the meeting was attended by presidential candidate Mohsen Rezaee, who presented his claims during the meeting, but presidential candidates Mir Hussein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi refused to participate.
Both candidates did not announce the reason of their refusal to attend the meeting. However, the Guardian Council sent Mousavi and Karroubi the repeat invitation to attend the meeting.
