Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said on August 2 that Israel is ready for negotiations with Syria and Palestinians without preliminary terms, Al Jazeera website said with reference to Israeli sources.
Netanyahu said that he expects Arabic countries to recognize Israel as Jewish nation, as well as problem with 5 million of Palestinian refugees will be solved outside Israel to avoid arms delivery and undermining of security.
Netanyahu said during Cabinet of Ministers' meeting on August 2 that he expects Palestinians to recognize Israel as nation for Jewish people and joint actions to ensure security in the region. Israeli Prime Minister said that future of Palestinian nation must be fully free of arms delivery.
Israeli requirements on recognition of Jewish nation by Palestinians, solving of refugees' problem outside Israel, as well as control over arms delivery to Palestinian territories are not terms in peace process, Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu also spoke about readiness to resume direct talks with Syria without preliminary terms, Al Jazeera said with reference to official source in Prime Minister's office.
Netanyahu's statements about readiness for talks with Syrians followed after the Syrian President Bashar al Assad's words about readiness of Damascus to return control over Golan Heights without concluding armistice. He added that occupation of Syrian territory and armistice with Israel are not compatible.
