Georgian movement leader: New opposition union's main taks is to determine solutions to existing problems
Georgia, Tbilisi, June 23 / Trend N. Kirtskhalia /
The main task of the new opposition union is to determine solutions to existing problems in the country, the leader of the Movement for Fair Georgia Nogaideli said at a press conference today.
He said that there is nothing concrete concerning a new union.
"I do not want anyone to think that one stage of integration has been completed and we turn to the second one, to the technical side. We have time to engage in a new struggle to be over prepared. The specific time is unknown. It does not deal with days or weeks, " Nogaideli said.
He said that there are a lot of problems in Georgia, mainly socio-economic ones, in terms of territorial integrity. Mechanisms should be worked out to solve them.
"Union is not an easy process. We will have to abandon political ambitions. One should not talk about minuses," former prime minister said.
He said that if people do not see a way to solve problems, then they would not follow politicians only for the sake of change alone for others.
The only mechanism that they are viewed in terms of change of power is a struggle by peaceful means, Nogaideli said.
