The statement, to be sent to Mikheil Saakashvili's Administration, says that opposition asks the authorities to initiate a dialogue to solve the problems, which hinder holding of free and fair elections in Georgia.
Opposition parties are working on amendments to the Electoral Code. The draft of amendments envisages amendments to the electoral system of the Georgian Parliament: system of parliamentary elections, drawing up voter lists, election day, system of consideration of election disputes, order of a complete set of election administration and pre-election campaign.
The draft project was developed by the leading opposition party of Georgia - "National Forum", "Republican Party", "Our Georgia - Free Democrats", "Georgia's Way", "New Right", "Christian-Democratic Movement" and "People's Party".
Representatives of the eight oppositional parties held a meeting in the diplomatic corps on Tuesday and familiarized it with the appeal.
