BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 3. Baku serves as a platform where nations suffering from colonization can voice their concerns, a member of an NGO from Cameroon Elizabeth Mekougu Obama told reporters, Trend reports.
"We must take pride in having platforms like the Baku Initiative Group. Here, nations affected by French colonization can share their problems," she stated.
The international conference on the policy of French neocolonialism in Africa, organized by the Baku Initiative Group, started its work on October 3.
The conference is attended by representatives of African countries (Senegal, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Guinea-Bissau, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mauritania, Zimbabwe, and Niger), as well as France and the French enslaved island of Mayotte.
