BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 14. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on amendment of the 'Regulation on the Electronic Water Management Information System (ESTIS)', Trend reports.
According to the decree, the necessary measures to organize, maintain, and ensure the effective use of the system will now be taken by Azerbaijan’s State Water Resources Agency, rather than the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources or the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
To facilitate access to the information specified in the Regulation via the "electronic government" information system, the Agency is required to regularly input this data into the ESTIS system and report to the Cabinet of Ministers annually.
The Agency will serve as both the owner and operator of ESTIS.
