BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 14. The meeting between members of the Azerbaijani Parliament Committee on Science and Education and the working group on inter-parliamentary relations with Türkiye and the delegation of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA) was held on October 14, Trend reports via Azerbaijani Parliament.
Meanwhile, it was noted that the Chairman of the Health Committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament, head of the working group on inter-parliamentary relations with Türkiye Ahliman Amiraslanov, welcoming the delegation of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, emphasized that such meetings and mutual visits serve the development of brotherly relations between the two countries.
“The Committee Chairman recalled that National Leader Heydar Aliyev attached great importance to strengthening ties between Azerbaijan and Türkiye. He emphasized that thanks to the friendship of President Ilham Aliyev and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye have risen to the level of a strategic alliance.
Chairman of the Science and Education Committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament Anar Iskandarov emphasized that the friendship, and brotherhood of Azerbaijan and Türkiye is an example for the whole world.
He noted that the high level of cooperation between the two countries also in the fields of science and education is a source of satisfaction, and talked of the development of ties in this field.
Chairman of the National Committee for Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of the National Union of Nationalists Mahmut Ozer, head of the Friendship Group with Azerbaijan Shamil Ayrim, and head of the Friendship Group with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Orhan Erdem congratulated the Azerbaijani deputies on their election to the Azerbaijani Parliament of the VII convocation and wished them success in their future activities.
The members of the TGNA expressed satisfaction with the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries and parliaments and emphasized the importance of its further development.
Chairman of the Accounts Commission of the Azerbaijani Parliament Eldar Guliyev, deputy chairman of the Committee on Science and Education Fariz Ismailzade, chairman of the working group on inter-parliamentary relations between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Javanshir Feyziyev attended the meeting, MPs Aziz Alakbarov, Agalar Valiyev, Mehriban Valiyeva, Fatma Yildirim, Anar Mammadov and Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Jahit Bagci made speeches, noting that dynamically developing friendly and brotherly relations between the two countries contribute to strengthening peace and cooperation in the region and the world.
