A presentation of the Program of Community Relations of the USAID was held in Baku on Tuesday. Under the program the specialists of Azerbaijan can pass 3-week probation period in the United States, Trend reports.
Under the program it is planned to conduct some seminars and training courses, as well as meetings with the representatives of state bodies and some states, non-governmental organizations.
The program envisages training of 10-member groups in 7 directions: prevention of injuries (selections will be held in Baku, Ganja and Yevlakh), Role of inter-religious relationships in the development of civil society (Baku, Lankaran, Zagatala, Guba, Gusar, Beylagan), the Improvement of the quality of high education with participation of students (Baku, Ganja, Lankaran and Nakhchivan), Production and sale of handcrafts (Imishli, Saatly, Sabirabad, Jalilabad and Bilasuvar), Family Planning, reproductive health and woman health (Goychay, Agsu and Shamakhi), Organization of women participation in elections process (across Azerbaijan), Small agro-cooperatives (across Azerbaijan).
The groups will be sent to the United States starting from April 2006. The efficiency term of the program is 5 years, while all work under the program will be carried out closely with the organization Project Harmony with financial support from USAID.
