Protocol Signed as a Result of Consultations between Ministries of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan and Ukraine

On November 10, a Protocol was signed in Baku as a result of the consultations between the Ministries of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan and Ukraine, Trend reports.

The document was signed by the Azerbaijani Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Fizuli Alekperov and the Ukrainian Minister, Mikhail Papiyev within his official visit to Azerbaijan. The document envisages social protection of the populations of the two countries temporarily residing in the territories of the two countries, exchange of experience, development of the employment, co-operation in the sphere of staff training, interaction in fight with the illegal migration, protection of the labor rights, etc.

According to the document, a working group will be created, which will prepare the project of the Agreement co-operation of the employment bodies of the two countries in 2007-2010.

During the visit, the Head of the Ukrainian delegation discussed with his Azerbaijani colleague, Mr. Alekperov the implementation of the intergovernmental agreement on mutual protection of the rights of the temporary labor migrants on the territories of the two countries. The relevant intergovernmental agreement was signed in June of last year in Kiev.
