Trend E.Huseynli / Separate foreign donors limited the number of grant projects aimed at resolving social problems in Azerbaijan, said the Head of Azerbaijan's Presidential Administration Department for Work with Law-Enforcement Bodies, Fuad Aleskerov, on 17 October at a meeting with international donor organizations and NGOs.
According to him, separate foreign donor organizations have refused financing for projects for refugees and the protection of children rights. The Government of Azerbaijan is taking measures to eliminate this tendency, Aleskerov said. According to him, if Azerbaijan becomes a donor country, it will pay attention to such issues.
A Conception envisaging State financing for the NGOs is being prepared in Azerbaijan. According to the Conception, a State organization for work with NGOs will be established. According to Aleskerov, the key attention in the State financing will be paid to the principles of transparency and unity.
Aleskerov said that all grant projects should be registered at the Justice Ministry of Azerbaijan.
