BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 2. The number of labor contracts in Azerbaijan has increased by 44 percent from 2018 through 2024, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahil Babayev said during the opening of the third day of the international conference at Baku Climate Action Week, Trend reports.
“In the past six years, the number of labor contracts has increased by 44 percent, resulting in over 563,000 new contracts. During this period, employment services successfully placed 650,000 individuals in jobs. Additionally, more than 36,000 people participated in vocational training courses, 2,600 were involved in the wage co-financing program, and 86,000 families benefited from the self-employment program,” Babayev noted.
The Climate Action Week runs from September 30 through October 4, 2024 in Baku for the first time. This event is set to form the basis of the climate agenda ahead of COP29 in Baku in November.
