Azerbaijan reveals projected allocations for social security for 2022

Volume of projected allocations from the state budget of Azerbaijan for social protection and social security will increase in 2022, Trend reports citing the proposed bill of the budget.

According to the bill, this indicator will reach 3.5 billion manat ($2 billion), which is 453.2 million manat ($266.6 million) or 14.6 percent more than in 2020, and 127 million manat ($74.7 million) or 3.4 percent less than this year.

Besides, next year, in order to ensure balanced financing, the State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan will ensure the implementation of projects worth 1.14 billion manat ($670 million), down by 485.6 million manat ($285.6 million) or 29.8 percent on annual basis.

At the same time, the total spending of the fund in 2022 should increase by 160.7 million manat ($94.5 million) or 3.1 percent compared to forecasts for 2021.

Funds in the amount of 2.5 billion manat ($1.4 billion) will be allocated from the state budget for social payments and benefits, which is 407.5 million manat ($239.7 million) or 19.2 percent more than in this year's forecast.
