BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 25. Russia's Federal Customs Service plans to speed up the movement of goods with Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Ruslan Davydov, acting director of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federationsaid, Trend reports.

"It is necessary to activate projects to speed up the movement of goods within the framework of international agreements with friendly countries and promising trade partners," he said.

According to him, among the most promising are the pilot projects "Simplified Customs Corridor" with Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Syria, China, and Türkiye.

As Ruslan Davydov notes, projects on mutual recognition of customs control results are already being implemented in Azerbaijan, China, and Mongolia.

"It is important to seek to increase their practical impact, transparency, and security of supply chains of goods, as well as to expand the range of participants and increase the volume of trade turnover," he added.

The data of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan shows that Azerbaijan's trade turnover with Russia amounted to $3.1 billion from January through September 2023 (23.45 percent growth over the year), while the trade turnover amounted to $2.5 billion year-on-year.
