Russia, Moscow, Dec. 29/ corr. Trend R. Agayev/ Economic crisis is another cause to expand Azerbaijani-Russian relations, Andrey Denisov, said.

Both Azerbaijan and Russia are energy resources producing countries. They play an active role in the energy resources market, as well as suffer great economic losses because of huge oil price drop, Denisov said. So, both countries have all reasons to resist these unfavorable tendencies by strengthening bilateral co-operation.

Consumer countries are more united and cooperate better than producing countries, such as Russia and Azerbaijan, he said.

"Therefore, economic crisis and the issues connected with it is one more factor to develop our pragmatic relations in today's world," Denisov told Trend correspondent at a news conference in Moscow on Dec. 27

Developing humanitarian relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are very important, including cooperation with regards to education, science and culture, Denisov said.
