Prices for interior and international railway passenger conveyance will not rise soon, the Azerbaijan State Railway (ASR) Press Secretary Nadir Azmammadov said on Feb. 16.
"It is not planned to change a price tariff both on interior and international passenger conveyance," Azmammadov said.
The Azerbaijan State Railway is operating with two price tariffs. The first covers interior passenger conveyance which sis formed by the country's Tariff Council.
The second which covers international passenger conveyance is variable. Prices for trip in the north direction (Russian border) are regulated in line with a variable tariff. Prices for tickets in this direction fluctuates - they may rise on holidays and drop on ordinary days, Azmammadov said.
At present the deployed length of the ASR's main roads makes up 2,950.6 and operation roads - 2,122 kilometers.
