The Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance announced results of the top ten insurance companies in January-May, which accounted for 79.86 percent of the total insurance charges and 83.14 percent of total payments. About 27 insurance companies and one reinsurance company operate in Azerbaijan for this period.

As in previous months, the ranking in terms of insurance rates was headed by Azal Sigorta, and the largest amount of payments was carried by Azersigorta insurance company.
Total premiums for all companies operating in the country is 66.91 million manat, and payments for the period were undertaken at 18.51 million manat.
Total premiums for the year decreased by 0.13 percent (67 million manat), payments declined by 6.79 percent (19.86 one million manat).
The report of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance in January-May does not specify the results of the only reinsurance company Az RE.
