According to the International Airport Aulie-Ata investment program, a new passenger terminal, which meets all modern requirements, will be built at the airport. On June 10, the project on the construction of a new passenger terminal will be presented to Kazakh Transport Minister Askar Zhumagaliyev and the head of the Zhambyl region Kanat Bozumbayev.

Moreover, the airport's runway will be reconstructed as well. Its length will be increased to 3,500 meters, width - to 60 meters.
