Kazakhstan has finished the harvest of grain crops

Kazakhstan has finished the harvest of grain crops, Kazakh Agriculture Ministry reported.
In 2016, Kazakhstan harvested 17.8 million tons of wheat, 3.3 million tons of barley, 347,000 tons of oat, 63,900 tons of millet, 502,600 tons of rice and 736,500 tons of legumes.

In 2015, wheat production in Kazakhstan stood at 14.6 million tons, barley production – at 2.9 million tons, oat production – at 278,600 tons, millet production – at 41,600 tons, rice production – at 457,400 tons, and legumes production – at 830,000 tons.

Moreover, Kazakhstan harvested 3.46 million tons of potato in 2016. Potato harvest campaign has been completed.
Oilseed harvest is still underway in Kazakhstan. As much as 1.6 million tons of oilseeds were harvested as of Nov. 1 compared to 1.1 million tons in the same period of 2015.
Kazakhstan is among the world’s major grain producers and exporters.
