The Polish company Ewa-Bis, engaged in export and distribution of fresh and processed fruits and vegetables, is interested in importing Azerbaijani agricultural products, Monika Pluta, the company’s sales director, told Trend Oct. 10.

She said that at this stage, the company expresses interest in importing fresh pomegranates, as well as pomegranate concentrate.

“A few months ago, representatives of our company visited Azerbaijan, where they held talks with local companies producing pomegranate and products made of it,” said Pluta. “No specific agreements have been reached so far. Nevertheless, this area is of interest to us.”

It was earlier reported that Azerbaijan plans to increase in 2018 the export of pomegranate and products made of it. Last year, Azerbaijan exported pomegranates worth $11 million and pomegranate juice worth $8.5 million.
