By Rashid Shirinov – Trend:

Construction of a factory for turkey production started in the Pavlodar district of Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar region, Trend reports with reference to the Kazakh media.

"The project is big. The investor TURKEY PVL has begun its implementation: excavation work has already started and the foundation has been partially laid,” said the governor of the district, Aleksandr Babenko.

He added that the four-year project will double the industrial production in the Pavlodar region. It is planned to produce egg and meat products at the factory.

In addition, the governor pointed out the need to build starch and sugar factories to address crop production issues.

"This year the warehouses of farmers are full. The yield increases along with the expansion of potato areas and with the use of new seeds," said Babenko.

He added that 130,000 tons of potatoes and approximately the same amount of vegetables were harvested, adding that it is necessary to look for new markets.
