Malaysian CIMES International Sdn. Bhd. agricultural company will establish cooperation with trading companies in Uzbekistan to conclude an export contract for the supply of tomatoes to Malaysia, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.
Representatives of Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Malaysia and CIMES International Sdn. Bhd. discussed this topic during a meeting.
The parties discussed issues of further development of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation in the field of agriculture.
During the conversation, the Malaysian side was informed in detail about the Strategy for the Development of Agriculture in Uzbekistan for 2020-2030, approved by the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The parties also considered the possibility of creating modern greenhouse farms, including for export to the countries of Southeast Asia.
Along with this, the parties agreed to establish partnerships with the Uzbek Scientific and Production Center of Agriculture for joint research in this area.
Founded in 1994, CIMES International Sdn. Bhd. is engaged in the cultivation of fruits and vegetables using irrigation water and energy-saving technologies, including for export to the countries of Southeast Asia.
The agricultural enterprise of the company is located in the state of Selangor.
