Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the Benelux countries (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg) Dilyor Khakimov met with representatives of Geerlofs Refrigeration (Netherlands) company to discuss current projects and prospects for cooperation, Trend reports citing Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry.
Taking into account active measures taken by Uzbekistan to increase the export of fruits and vegetables and unused large potential, the Dutch side expressed its readiness to provide the necessary assistance to the farms of Uzbekistan in ensuring the storage of products for the purpose of their further sale in a more favorable season in terms of value.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to organize in Uzbekistan at the beginning of 2020 training and a seminar on the technologies available at the company for storage and warehousing of fruits and vegetables.
During the negotiations, the Dutch side informed about the results of their visit to Uzbekistan in November this year, when a company delegation took part in the UzAgroExpo exhibition and held talks with Uzbek companies on the construction of storage facilities for fruits and vegetables in 2020-2021.
The company has been successfully operating in the market of Uzbekistan since 2014. Over 5 years of interaction with Uzbek partners, turnkey construction of 9 large projects on refrigeration equipment in the Samarkand, Tashkent, Ferghana regions was ensured. In particular, in 2019, a large project was launched in the Kuva district of the Ferghana region.
