Representatives of Chinese Xinjiang Industrial and Construction Corps (XPCC) proposed to arrange supply of vegetables and fruits from Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.
The Chinese side also intends to create an almost entirely mechanized cotton cluster in Uzbekistan.
As reported, a delegation of the Xinjiang Industrial and Building Corps visited the Uzbek-Chinese Trade Association in Tashkent to discuss prospects for cooperation and attracting Chinese investment in Uzbekistan.
It was noted that XPCC is interested in the supply of Uzbek vegetables and fruits, high-quality confectionery, dried fruits, mung and almonds to China.
The Corps representatives also proposed to create a cotton cluster, which will use advanced agricultural technologies and know-how in cotton growing. The level of mechanization can be up to 90 percent, and productivity - up to 80 centners per hectare.
The Uzbek-Chinese Trade Association’s basic partners - the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the Republican Center for Entrepreneurship Fundamentals, the Council of Farmers and the Center for Agroinformation-Innovation - will search for potential Uzbek partners.
