Autumn plowing of sown areas is carried out in Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Agriculture told Trend.
According to the data, in 61 regions of the country plowing was carried out in general on an area of 56,550 hectares, which is 7,710 hectares more than in the same period last year.
"This year, arable land makes up 50.6 percent of the area available in the republic," the ministry said.
Meanwhile, the open joint-stock company "Agroservice" is closely involved in providing farmers with equipment during plowing and sowing. This year, Azerbaijani farmers are provided with 2,127 tractors, of which 351 are machinery used by regional divisions.
The regions with the involvement of technology covered the regions of Agsu, Imishli, Oguz, Sheki, Agdash, Samukh, Sabirabad and Kurdamir.
