Kazakhstan doubles crude petroleum oil exports to Spain

Kazakhstan has exported 478,493 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 135.4 million euros to Spain in August 2020, Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s exported 2.4 million tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 690.8 million euros to Spain from Jan. through Aug. 2020.

Thus, the August volume of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to Spain is 12.1 percent more compared to July 2020 (426,479 tons) and is 2.7 times more than in Jan. 2020 (173,605 tons).

August export value is also 8.7 percent more than in July 2020 (124.4 million euros) and is 58.4 percent more than in Jan. 2020 (85.4 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Spain amounted to $751.2 million over the first eight months of 2020, compared to $1.7 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Spain amounted to $619.1 million over the period from January through August 2020, compared to $1.6 billion during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Spain amounted to nearly $132.1 million over the reporting period, compared to $119.4 million during the same period of 2019.
