Currently, there are slightly more than 120 active companies registered in the Hualing Free Industrial Zone (FIZ) of Georgia, Head of Finance & Analytics at FIZ Vakhtang Chkareuli told Trend.
"Mostly, they are specified in trading (including international trading), manufacturing and processing of various goods. Those companies are spread over five continents and 45 countries all around the world," he noted.
According to Chkareuli, one of the main advantages of Hualing FIZ is Fiscal Incentives: Operating throughout the Free Zones in Georgia is totally exempt from all corporate taxes. The only tax remaining in the FIZ is the personal income tax, which is payable by the employee, not the employer.
"Our competitive advantages also include ready-built industrial buildings of various sizes and shapes, specifications, already installed cranes, and integrated office spaces. Besides that, Huliang FIZ provides available land plots and smart offices to its potential investors," he said.
As he noted, Hualing FIZ is located right at the heart of Georgia.
"It is slightly more than 36 ha and in the nearest future, we are planning to expand up to 55 ha. The free zone itself is easily accessed with only 4 km to the main highway, 19 km to Kutaisi International Airport, and 95 km to Poti Sea Port," Chkareuli noted.
As Chkareuli said, in 2020, working remotely is one of the challenging issues for most companies around the world.
"However, our team managed to turn this challenge into a new opportunity, and we launched totally remote incorporation process of new companies. So, our investors could establish a free zone company without a physical presence in Georgia. To summarize, our extensive experience in the industry, simple and fast business start-up, easier and cheaper operations, and our add-on services create an invaluable asset to our existing and potential partners," he added.
