Iran produced 35.6 million tons of chemical and petrochemical products during the first 7 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2020), Trend reports citing the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.
According to the report, this is an increase of 8.4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
"While in the same period last Iranian year, Iran produced 32.8 million tons of chemical and petrochemical products," the report said.
In addition, Iran produced 5.08 million tons of chemical and petrochemical products within 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 22 through October 21, 2020). This is a decrease of 1.6 percent compared to the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 22 through September 21, 2020), the report said.
