Iran’s annual imports through Bushehr Province’s customs up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. Iran’s imports through customs of Bushehr Province (southern Iran), increased by 34 percent in value and 20 percent in volume, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2022), Customs Inspector of Bushehr Province Customs Office Ali Soleimani told reporters, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The official said that about 637,000 tons of goods worth $1.99 were imported through the province’s customs during the last Iranian year.

He added that the main imported goods through the customs of Bushehr Province for the last year were necessary equipment and spare parts for nuclear power plants, various kinds of fabric, tea, as well as spare parts for cars, motorcycles and bicycles, etc.

According to Soleimani, the mentioned goods were mainly imported from China, the UAE, Russia, India, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Türkiye, and Japan.

In total, Iran imported a total of 33.6 million tons of goods worth $53.7 billion for the first 11 months of the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023), which is an increase of 15.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 8.61 percent in volume compared to the same period in the preceding Iranian year.
