BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 31. The value of Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 4 percent during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Customs Inspector of Bushehr Province Customs Office Ali Soleimani said, Trend reports.
"Within 4 months, a total of 9.8 million tons of non-oil products worth $3.74 billion were exported through the customs of Bushehr Province," he noted.
The official added that the exported products were mainly petrochemical products, mining minerals, fishery products, and agricultural products.
According to Soleimani, the mentioned goods were exported to 42 countries, mainly China, the UAE, Türkiye, India, and other countries.
"In addition, 172,000 tons of goods worth $614 million dollars were imported through the customs of the province in 4 months. The imported goods were mainly car spare parts, motorcycles, power plant equipment, etc.," Soleimani said.
The official also pointed out that the products were mainly imported from the UAE, China, the Philippines, India, Japan, Türkiye, and Russia.
Overall, Iran exported 35.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $12.5 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023).
This is a decrease of 8.84 percent in value and an increase of 24.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
At the same time, Iran imported 9.6 million tons of non-oil products worth $14 billion in 3 months, which is an increase of 5.79 percent in value and 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
